Time Stands Still

A picture's worth a thousand words
Mine could write a thousand lifetimes
A canvas stained with oils
A canvas stained with blood
The muse was captivated
By the hedonistic lifestyle
Beauty is the only aspect of life worth pursuing
Making one wish is too good to be true
You never know what demons could be listening
The paintings a thing of beauty
But for him Time Stands Still
Prince Charming now a cruel moniker
It was too late to save her beauty
Now only lust shall suffice
And every poisonous vice
The painting now distorted
The muse can't be identified
He is taken over by anger
As the artist is horrified
Beseeching a prayer for salvation
Only to be met with accusation
And a knife over again
Destroying multiple lives
The paintings now a horrid manifestation
Yet for him Time Stands Still
Living a life of vanity
Led to an unfulfilled life
This mortal shells pulchritude
Only hides what the painting now parades
Making one wish is too good to be true
You never know what demons could be listening
The paintings now with a knife in its heart
And for him Time no longer Stands Still

Jealous and Cowardly

They pull your strings like the marrionette you are
Carved out of rotten wood, engraved with all these scars
Every step you take is choosen by their hands
And every thought another one of their commands
It's not free will
Its all against your inclination
You think you have a choice
But its the one they gave you
Its from a book of deceit
Written by cowardly men
Jealous of what others have
And scared of their own shadow
Its evolved for thousands of years and taken many forms
But always the same aspiration to acquire ascendency
It changed from song and legends to written decree
And outcast the heathen free thinker - burned alive for their non belief
They fool themselves
Cause ignorance is bliss
Benevolence from fear
And a promise of eternity
How can they strive for freedom
When they themselves are slaves
How can they pray for peace
When all they bring is war
How can they accuse persecution
When all their lies are hypocrisy
How can they plead for life
When they can't wait for death
Its time to wake up and cut the strings
Your fathers god does not have to be your own
Be wiser than your ancestors were
And take the reigns of freedom

Closing In
05:45

I look to the sky
As rain falls from above
Like acidic tears
It burns flesh from bone
Its an apocalyptic wasteland
The ash falls like snow into my hand
I can't forgive what they've done to this world
The fallout turned it into a literal hell
Their greed made them forget they were human
Put another dime in their pocket
Their hands are empty now too
Turn the forest to a barren desert
Their life is too short to care
The consequences have come
From their lack of empathy
Future generations are fucked
More than we already are
Their greed made them forget they were human
The sun now scorches the land
Turning the arctic to the dryest desert
Humanity has barely survived
But extinction isnt far behind
I hope it was worth it
I hope it brought you happiness
Cause it killed the rest of us
Their greed made them forget they were human
This is a glimpse of the end
And we are closing in
